Our London delivery partner, Packfleet, uses 100% emission-free delivery vehicles
We are extremely conscious of our carbon footprint and are continuously looking at ways at ways to minimise our impact on the environment.
Our Deliveries in London are via electric vans and every delivery is carbon neutral and emissions free. Our partner, Packfleet, aims to plant a tree for every parcel we deliver in an effort to build the greenest deliveries in the world. Outside of London, we use DPD and DHL and they are committed to moving towards emissions free deliveries over the next few years.
We use wool to keep our suppers cool during transport. This natural by-product is biodegradable and compostable.
What looks like plastic, mostly isn’t!
As much as possible, we use Eco Pouches to hold our ingredients. These are compostable, biodegradable and ocean-friendly and made from 100% natural ingredients which break down under specific composting conditions into biomass, carbon dioxide and water
If you have any comments or suggestions about how we can do things better, please get in touch.
Jamie with Sebastien Sainsbury at the hydroponic lettuce farm
We are so proud of our suppliers and take great care to select growers and farmers that respect their produce and the environment.
All of our salads are grown organically and hydroponically by Sebastien Sainsbury and harvested on the day they are shipped – so you will never experience a fresher salad! They are grown vertically in water in urban farms only moments away from our kitchens. Our salads have a zero carbon footprint.
Our meat and poultry comes from suppliers including HG Walter, a family run independent butcher predominantly from small farms rearing free range native breeds such as Hereford and Aberdeen Angus cattle, and Hampshire Duroc pigs. We also are delighted to be supplied by the Rare Breed Meat Company owned by the Blackwell family and particularly love their free-range chicken from Suffolk farms which are fed on natural foods free from any additives or growth promoters.
Our fish comes from the Wright Brothers in Covent Garden from sustainable sources and they supply some of London’s top restaurants (including Jamie’s restaurant Hush of course!)
