Greek Style Marinated Lamb with Greek Salad and Hot Stone Flatbread

Slow roasted lamb shank marinated for 24 hours with feta and apricots, Greek salad, tzatziki and smoked chilli sauce with a sesame flatbread baked over hot pebbles. 

Prep time: 10 minutes
Oven time: 40 minutes

Can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.

This kit includes:

- 24 hour marinated lamb shank
- Pickled red onions
- Lemon and olive oil dressing
- Smoked chilli sauce
- Tzatziki
- Hot stone sesame flatbread
- Feta cheese marinated in oregano, lemon zest and olive oil
- Isle of Wight red tomatoes and baby cucumber
- Red Pepper
- Poppy seeds
- Black olives
- Fresh and dried oregano

 

Notes:

Our whole-grain flatbread is baked daily by Afsheen on a bed of small river stones in a traditional 1,000 year old process.

1. Empty the sauce into a hob safe casserole dish, bring to the boil and add the lamb shanks.

2. Put in the oven for 20 minutes at 180degrees with the lid on while you assemble the salad. 

3. Chop the feta into chunks, slice the tomatoes in half and thinly slice the red pepper and cucumbers.

4. In a big salad bowl, add the feta, red pepper, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, pickled red onions, dried oregano, some bits of fresh oregano, and toss with the poppy seeds and lemon dressing.

5. Take the lid off the casserole dish and cook for a further 20 mins, spooning the sauce back over the lamb 10 minutes before the end.

6. Warm the flatbreads for 5 minutes, shred the lamb into the sauce and eat family style with the salad, tzatziki and chill sauce.

    We have taken care to list the major allergens found in our dishes. Please be aware that all of our dishes are prepared in a kitchen that handles celery, fish, eggs, milk, sulphites, gluten, soya, peanuts, nuts, sesame, and mustards. Our pastas are prepared in a kitchen that also handles crustaceans. There is a therefore a risk of trace allergens and cross contamination.

    We deliver all orders on Wednesdays and Fridays. You can choose which day is best for you before checking out. 

    Orders to addresses with a London postcode are delivered using a green fleet of eco-friendly vehicles, to ensure that all last mile deliveries are emission-free. Orders to the rest of the country are delivered by DHL, who have committed to ensuring that at least 70% of their fleet will be emission-free by 2025.

    We can't specify exactly what time of day your delivery will arrive, but all deliveries are made between 9am and 6pm, to ensure you've got plenty of time to cook your supper. You'll receive notifications from our couriers by text and/or email when your order is out for delivery, so make sure you leave your phone number and a valid email address when you check out. 

    As your delivery will contain perishable food items, we won't be able to redeliver on the following day, so please make sure you tell us where our driver can leave your parcel if there's no one home.
